No food, No shelter, No money…

This is the lot of thousands of people who have been refused asylum in the UK but cannot return home.

It does not have to be this way.

Can you help?

Home4U, formed by concerned individuals, believes that there has to be a more compassionate way of dealing with this situation.

To demonstrate this Home4U, working with the DePaul Trust, is providing food and shelter for destitute asylum seekers

A small house in the Rhondda Valley is home to two or three homeless asylum seekers at a time, where they have the dignity of a home until their situation changes. It may be a small step, but it makes a huge difference to lives of those individuals.

Tendai is a teacher from Zimbabwe. When his union started calling for democracy in Zimbabwe he joined in. Soon he was in trouble with the secret police and he fled the country to Britain. He was shocked to be detained on arrival . Eventually his claim for asylum was turned down, because he could not prove the threat to him was personal - all teachers are under threat from the current regime in Zimbabwe. He is afraid to return whilst the same people are in charge. He has been destitute , mostly in Cardiff, for 3 years.

This is just one human story.
